Alabama Secretary of State creates voter integrity database to “protect elections”

Monday morning, Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen announced that Alabama will be pulling out of the Electronic Registration Information Center, also known as ERIC, and will be replacing it with a new database called AVID. That’s short for the Alabama Voter Integrity Database. Secretary Allen says this system took 8 months to develop and he says it will be incredible tool to stop voter fraud and protect our elections.
