Judge will not force Maricopa Co. to obey AZ Senate subpoenas

A Maricopa County Superior Court judge dismissed Wednesday the state Senate’s request that he order Maricopa County officials to turn over images of ballots and piles of other election records it demanded in subpoenas last week. The decision is just the latest twist in an effort by Republican lawmakers to pull off their own audit of the county’s election results, even though the routine audit the county already conducted went flawlessly and challenges to the outcome alleging irregularities and fraud have failed in court.
