8 OH counties miss deadline to complete security upgrades

Eight of Ohio’s 88 counties failed to meet a state deadline to upgrade their security in preparation for this year’s presidential election, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose said Wednesday. All eight failed to complete a section of the state directive dealing with security training, according to LaRose, the state’s top elections official. LaRose, as part of an ongoing emphasis on elections security, ordered the upgrades last summer. Andrew Tobias, The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
