Bill rolling back KY secretary of state powers stalls in committee
Two Republicans voted with Democrats Monday to reject a bill that would limit Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes’ power over the State Board of Elections. The bill would have made the secretary of state a symbolic, non-voting member of the elections board and stripped her of any day-to-day authority over its staff.
