Human error at root of problems in Northampton Co.

Election Software and Systems, the largest voting machine company in the United States, failed to catch errors they configured into Northampton County’s new voting machines, leading to widespread problems this Election Day. Adam Carbulido, a senior vice president with ES&S, said a lack of training and oversight led to tabulation errors in Northampton County’s cross-filed races. The failure led electronic counts to miss thousands of votes across the county; paper ballots properly recorded these votes, he said. Tom Shortell, The Morning Call.
