Ohio Ballot Board splits voter access amendment into 4 issues

Backers of a campaign seeking to expand Ohio’s voter access laws were dealt a blow on Monday, after a state panel voted to break a single proposed ballot measure into four separate parts. In a party-line 3-2 vote, the Ohio Ballot Board’s Republican members ruled the proposed constitutional amendment was actually four separate topics and that each should be a separate ballot question: elections administration, voter registration, voting rights for citizens with disabilities and a requirement for a post-election audit. Andrew Tobias, The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
