A day after President Joe Biden was sworn into office and called for unity, the Republican-controlled state House Government Committee held the first of 14 hearings Thursday on election reform and integrity in Pennsylvania. Democrats viewed it as a continued assault on the truth after Republicans spent months repeating former President Donald Trump’s claims that the election was fraudulent or stolen.
